4. Troy Ancient City (Troy)
The ancient city of Troy, located near the village of Tevfikiye, is among the most famous ancient cities in the world. It is estimated that the Ancient City of Troy, which was destroyed 9 times throughout history due to natural disasters, has a history of 5000 years (3000 BC). Discovered by a German archaeologist in the 1870s, the Ancient City of Troy was given the status of “National Park” in 1996 and entered the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. 7. Kilitbahir Castle (Kilid-ul Bahir)
Kilitbahir Castle (Kilid-ül Bahir), which means “Kilid-ul Bahir” in modern Turkish, is a castle built in 1452 on the European shore of the Dardanelles, in the narrowest part of the strait. The castle was built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in order to prevent possible aid to the Byzantine army during the siege of Istanbul. It was restored and strengthened during the reigns of Suleiman the Magnificent and Sultan Abdulaziz.

8. Çanakkale Clock Tower
